Infrastructure Engineer
Own how Masinja is deployed, observed and kept up, for a service people depend on to get paid.
About the Role
When we open, a shop that cannot receive an order loses money that day. That sets the bar for this role. You will own deployment, monitoring and the boring reliability work that decides whether the rest of the team can ship without fear.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own infrastructure as code, environments and deployment pipelines.
- Build the monitoring and alerting that tells us something is wrong before a shop does.
- Set backup and recovery for order and payment data, and test that it actually restores.
- Keep the cost of running this understood, so it does not surprise us later.
- Set up the on-call rotation and make it survivable.
What We're Looking For
- Four or more years in infrastructure, platform or SRE work.
- Strong with a cloud provider, containers and infrastructure as code.
- You have designed monitoring that caught real problems, not just made dashboards.
- Security is part of your default, including secrets and access control.
Nice to Have
- You have been the first infrastructure hire somewhere.
- Cost work on a service that grew quickly.
