Product Designer
Design the vendor and buyer apps for one-handed use, on average hardware, by people who are busy.
About the Role
Most design portfolios are built for a user sitting still with both hands free on a large screen. That user does not exist here. Ours is a shop owner mid-transaction and a buyer on a bus. Designing for that is a real constraint and it makes the work better. You would own the whole surface, from the design system through to the screens.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design the deal posting and enquiry flows end to end.
- Own the design system across mobile and web, in both light and dark.
- Test your work with actual shop owners rather than with the team.
- Work in the same room as engineering, from sketch through to shipped.
- Keep the brand coherent as it stretches across product and marketing.
What We're Looking For
- Four or more years designing digital products, with mobile at the centre.
- A portfolio that shows your reasoning, not only your final screens.
- You have run usability sessions yourself.
- You can build and maintain a design system rather than just use one.
Nice to Have
- Motion and interaction design.
- You can prototype in code.
- Experience designing for low-bandwidth or low-end devices.
