Product Manager, Masinja
Own the vendor and buyer experience, starting from time in actual shops rather than from a backlog.
About the Role
This is not a role for someone who wants to manage a roadmap from a distance. The work starts in shops, watching people try to do the thing we are building for, and comes back with decisions about what to build and what to leave alone. We have strong opinions about what small businesses need and we would like them argued with by someone who has done the looking.
What You'll Be Doing
- Spend real time with shop owners and buyers, and bring back what you learn.
- Decide what goes into the vendor and buyer experience, and say no to the rest.
- Work day to day with engineering and design rather than throwing specs over a wall.
- Define what success looks like for a feature before it ships.
- Own vendor onboarding, from first contact to first deal posted.
What We're Looking For
- Four or more years in product, ideally on a commercial marketplace or merchant platform.
- You do your own research and can show what changed because of it.
- You are comfortable cutting scope in public.
- You write clearly, because most of this job is writing.
Nice to Have
- Marketplace or logistics experience.
- Experience building 0 to 1 products or scaling high-growth ventures.
- You speak a language our sellers speak.
